Baptism is a public display of a confession of faith in Christ. For the Christian, baptism is the physical representation of moving from death (sin) to life (living by the Spirit) after making the decision to follow Jesus! 

In obedience to Christ’s Biblical command and as a testimony to God, water baptism is a symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ. It demonstrates the likeness of Christ's death and burial as well as the power of His resurrection. It signifies that the former way of life has been put to death and signals a release from the bondage of sin. As a testimony, the act of being baptized enables the Believer to publicly declare a life change--for the world to see and to celebrate with friends & family.
